Lisa’s just moved to Oakport looking for opportunities to expand her writing career. Her whole life has been spent in a small town, but she’s always had big dreams. She works for a small, local scene newspaper, but it’s not enough to pay the bills. She writes during the day and works as a waitress at Market, Oakport’s hottest restaurant, during the nights. Lisa’s whole life changes after serving Jackson Pratt at Market one night. Jackson is a well-known figure around Oakport, and it’s clear why: he’s handsome, charming, and owns a little bit of everything in Oakport. While serving Jackson, the attraction between the two is instantaneous and intense. The next day, Jackson arrives back at the restaurant and asks to speak with Lisa in private. This encounter kicks off an intense relationship between Lisa and Jackson.
